OHS Academy is an Occupational Health and Safety training and consulting enterprise with five branches (Witbank, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Nelspruit and Limpopo) and more than 15 permanent employees.
The organisation was established in 2001 as a company supplying technical training support function.
This included the development of technical training material, technical and other illustrations, technical reports, work instructions, job descriptions, performance analysis & appraisal and general training.
As the company started to provide training tasks, the focus shifted from a pure technical support function to a combination of training, consulting and management of projects (see links to Consulting and Training).
Full accreditation as a provider of training services was achieved with the HWSETA during December 2006.
As the company (OHS Academy Witbank) grew the need for training in other parts in the country grew as well. OHS Academy Johannesburg was opened in 2009, OHS Academy Pretoria and OHS Academy Limpopo in 2011 and Nelspruit in 2012.
We have been members of the Witbank Sakekamer since 2008 and we enjoy the benefits of the monthly networking with the Witbank business community.
Our management also serves on the Witbank Sakekamer Management Committee.
OHS Academy is proud to be one of the founding members of BNI Generators. The BNI Generators chapter was launched in May 2011 and is growing strong.
As with the Witbank Sakekamer, our management serves on the BNI Generators Management Committee.
